The PMVL eligibility rules state:
(taken from the 'Rules' page)
18. To qualify for play in the playoffs, each player must be present for 7 matches.
a) To be marked as present on the scoresheet, a player must play in, or be present for, one complete set (ie. one game to 25).
b) Only names appearing on properly completed and signed game sheets will qualify for the eligibility requirements.
19. Players are allowed to switch teams as long as they have not reached their seven matches with another team. Once a player has reached the seven matches with a team they can still switch teams but they will only be allowed to return to the team previously registered with if (by submitting a written request) approval has been received from the league executive. In order to be eligible for the play-offs each player must have been registered in seven matches of the last team registered with.
a) In addition to the above rules 'B' division players will be allowed to play with any 'A' team during the regular season and still return to play on their regular 'B' team. Players will not be eligible for 'A' division play-offs unless they have declared to the league executive that they have formally left their 'B' division team and have played the required number of games to qualify for 'A' play-offs. 'B' division players cannot play for an 'A' team when their regular team would be left without enough players to field a team.
20. 'A' Division rostered players CANNOT play for a team in the 'B' or 'C' divisions. Likewise, 'B' division player cannot play for a 'C' division team. If a player plays down a division, the offending team will forefeit the match.
Non-Rostered Subs
21. Once non-rostered subs play 3 games in particular a division, they become marked as a divisional sub and CANNOT play as a sub in a lower division (but are able to be called up a division if necessary).
(S) Indicates a non-rstered player has subbed
(B) Indicates a 'B' Division player has subbed
(C) Indicates a 'C' Division player has subbed
